Free Virus Protection
Both of these are only free for home users. For office computers consider their paid versions. Home users should also consider upgrading to their 'pro' versions they do give you more protection in the paid version.
Free Spyware Software
I recommend you download and use all three of these programs. Each one often finds problems missed by the others. The upgraded paid version of Ad Aware now includes virus protection. I have not tried that version.
Free Online Virus & Spyware Scan
This online scan works from both PC and Macs. The scan is free and their virus protection, though not free, is worth considering. They do offer a trial version.
